Robert Fisk Death

Robert Fisk Death – Dead | Journalist Robert Fisk Obituary – Passed Away

Robert Fisk Death – Dead: A great loss was made known to InsideEko. As friends and families of the deceased are mourning the passing of their loved and cherished Robert Fisk.

Robert Fisk was a journalist of rare courage, compassion and conviction. An independent thinker he never sought popularity and was not afraid to challenge powerful force;. his death is a blow to global journalism. @morningireland @IrishTimes

While everybody expresses sorrow over the death of Robert Fisk, there is one peer group of people who thinks otherwise. It’s the MSM/NATO camp. They hate it when someone challenges the propaganda of their favorite media.

With Robert Fisk’s passing we have lost a journalistic eye without which we shall be partially blind, a pen without which our capacity to express the truth is diminished, a soul without which our own empathy for victims of imperialism will be lacking

RIP. I didn’t always agree with him, but Robert Fisk was one of the world’s top reporters. Unlike countless peers, he took both his craft and the Middle East region he covered seriously, rather than as a career-advancement project in the service of imperial narratives.

Robert Fisk chose to embed himself with the murderers of the 2012 Daraya Massacre, chose to traumatise survivors, and chose to invent a story to sell to his western papers, a story denied by the Local Coordination Committee and witnesses. He never apologised, he doubled down.

“It’s a journalist’s job to be a witness to history. We’re not there to worry about ourselves. We’re there to try and get as near as we can, in an imperfect world, to the truth and get the truth out”

Rest in Power Robert Fisk

Robert Fisk was a giant in journalism. Whilst others were spoon-fed lies, he challenged the narrative of the powerful. Fearless & unflinching, he was ‘controversial’ for all the right reasons. His death leaves a huge void in foreign reportage.

One of Robert Fisk’s great contributions was documenting the massacre of thousands of Palestinians by Israel and its proxies at Sabra and Shatila in 1982. He was among first on the scene. It took courage few journalists show today

RIP Robert Fisk, fearless veteran British foreign correspondent, dies aged 74.

Pity the Nation was an extraordinary book- one of the great accounts of the contemporary Middle East

Robert Fisk was simply the best foreign correspondent by a mile. Honest, diligent and fearless. Hated by those who wished to justify illegal invasions and war crimes. Disliked by those on all sides who put their international political allegiances before the truth.

“With his passing the world of journalism and informed commentary on the Middle East has lost one of its finest commentators.”

Statement from President Higgins on the death of Robert Fisk:

Robert Fisk has died. He was not only courageous, informed and insightful, but one of the very rare journalists in the western corporate media to carve out for himself enough freedom to present an honest picture of the Middle East

RIP Robert Fisk, one of the few honest Western chroniclers of the wars & intrigues imposed on the Middle East & sharpest critics of the absurd language pundits and politicians reflexively resorted to to paper over their colonial relationship w/ the region
