Nola Gustafson Death – Cause of Death – 83 year old Nola Ilene Gustafson (nee Marberger), of Western Springs, IL, died on the 25th of November 2021 surrounded by her husband and children. She was a member of the FMA KickOut PD Community. Kick Out PD is a program, in partnership with researchers at Rush University Hospital, that studies the effects of karate on those with Parkinson’s Disease. Gustafson received the Master of Music award with distinction in piano at Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University.
Nola worshipped at the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Hinsdale. Her obituary created by Hallowell & James Obituaries mentioned that for 57 years, Gustafson was the loving wife of John Arthur Gustafson. Loving mother of Ilene (Tom) Eckert, Karin Nola (Dean) Teglia, and John Franklin (Jennifer) Gustafson. Devoted grandmother of Tommy, Elle, Kari, and Jasper John. Cherished sister-in-law of Joe Denaro. Dear aunt of Mark and Susan Denaro. Nola was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Verle Marberger; sister, Teddi Denaro; and parents-in-law, Elmer and Mabel Gustafson.
According to her obituary, family and friends are invited to meet at Redeemer Lutheran Church of Hinsdale, 139 East First Street, Hinsdale, IL 60521 for visitation at 9am until time of funeral service at 10am on Saturday, December 4th. Interment will be at the Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery, Bridgeport, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church of Hinsdale or Western Springs Music Club C/O Melissa Raub, 423 Pershing Ave., Wheaton, IL 60189.

“Nola loved music. After achieving a Master of Music degree, she went on to teach at universities and volunteer with many music organizations, including the Western Springs Music Club. FMA will be donating to the WSMC in her memory.”
