Activision has removed the "OK" sign from Call of Duty: WarZone, which it believes is hateful and linked to white supremacist racism, according to a report published by EuroGamer. The company did not say why it removed the sign, although it is one of the most used signs in the game, but it certainly believes in the importance of the safety of the game community and that it is free from any addition that may be misused to offend anyone. The report indicated that the Anti-Defamation League included the same reference in the list of hate symbols for the same reason. The story of the sign's association with white racism on 4Chan goes back when users used the sign as a matter of sarcasm to delude the American media that it had a secret meaning, but it evolved and became associated with the extreme right as a sign of white supremacy.
