Darrell Roderick Smith Death – Cause Of Death: 55-year-old Darrell Roderick Smith was identified by the Athens-Clarke police as the man that was killed when the space heater he was using to keep himself warm caught fire on Thursday 25th November 2021.
Police said Darrell was living inside the hut in his aunt’s garden on Salisbury Plain Drive in the Stonehenge subdivision, firefighter was called by a good samaritan who noticed the fire, upon their arrival at about 12:30 a.m. they discovered there were three electronic space heaters in the house, police said one was very near the place Darrell was resting.
Darrell was pronounced dead. The cause of the fire was determined to be an accident, an autopsy was ordered, which was being conducted as soon as possible.
