After a long absence due to his suffering from illness, the great artist Abu Bakr Salem Belfaqih returned to the stage, surprisingly attending the National Carnival held in the closed hall in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, when he entered the tune of his famous song “Oh My Country, Pray”, to be honored as a national artistic icon. Before he surprised the audience by singing his patriotic work, despite his suffering from illness.
He expressed his happiness with this presence, congratulating King Salman and his crown prince on the National Day.
And he received an honorary shield from the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Sports Authority, Turki Al-Sheikh, and the national team shirt from the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Football Association.
Musicians Ghazi Ali and Talal Bagher were also honored.
The participating artists and poets Yasser Al-Tuwaijri and Khaled Al-Muraikhi were honored.
