30-year-old Edward P. Casteel has been taken into custody after a possible manhunt in connection to a shooting incident in the Airport Road Blackfoot Thursday night.
According to Blackfoot Police, officers responded to a shooting report near the 1800 Black of E Airport Road in Blackfoot at about 826 p. m. Dec. 02, 2021. Arriving officials interviewed witnesses who described the suspect as a middle-aged white male with a dark beard. He fled the scene before police arrival in a dark-colored passenger car.
Investigators say no individuals were physically injured during this situation. At the afternoon hours of Friday 3rd, Dec. 2021 30-year-old Edward P. Casteel was identified, located, and taken into custody in the Shelley area. He has been booked into the Bingham County Jail on Felony charges of Aggravated Assault and Shooting towards an Occupied Dwelling.
