Hinkley High School Shooting – Aurora Police has made a fourth arrest in connection to the parking lot shooting at Hinkley High School that left three students hospitalized in critical conditions.
A 17-year-old teen was taken into custody Friday on a charge of attempted first-degree murder. The unidentified teen and the other three suspects, all 16 years of age could face multiple felony counts in the case and have been charged as adults. All three face four counts of attempted first-degree murder among other charges, according to the Aurora police department.
Investigators say three students were shot and injured two 17-year-old Hinkley students, a male and a female, and a 16-year-old APS Avenues student. After a school security officer returned fire, one of the suspects was transported to the hospital. Others arrived at the hospital themselves.
Officials say the incident seemed from a physical altercation at the parking lot.
