Australian residents of Dunkeld were surprised by dozens of kangaroos, which were killed in a brutal manner, as they were subjected to gunshots and their heads and limbs cut off, which sparked panic and prompted the residents to demand that the "butcher" be found.

This law considers it necessary to reduce the number of kangaroos, as they devour agricultural crops and pose a threat to motorists, and live in areas close to schools, which may harm children.
The Australian Kangaroo Society said that kangaroo hunters receive 10 Australian dollars for meat and 10 Australian dollars for skin.
