A simpleton preaches the gospel by word of mouth but a wise man preaches by an exemplary life” – Bhuji

Everybody thinks he is right by preaching the gospel according to his understanding even when that understanding is clouded by his

Bigotry

Conceit

Indiscipline-

Immorality

A do as I say not as I do lifestyle

Selfishness.

Greed.

Arrogance or self righteousness.

Many from various platforms preach the word of their conceited understanding, they make a lot of noise invade others privacy and punish those who refuse to subscribe to their understanding of divine mind.

Experience in the school of life has shown that divine mind is not resident in only one school of thought- one religion or one philosophy. Divine mind reveals itself to any ready soul willing to participate in the great work of creation hence no religion has the sole franchise to God.

Another vital point is that divinity reveals itself to people in the language of their understanding. We are all at different levels of understanding, some of us are more sensitive hence we know certain truth rudimentary to living a righteous or moral life but some have a poor understanding of divine truth hence our life is not guided by moral truth. Another factor of consideration is that our philosophies or guiding principles of life is created from our cultural heritage or from the needs and aspiration of our society, in this regard culture plays a role in the formation of our way of life and our religion. By this, there is no way no people from two different cultures will have the same principles. Even two siblings living in the same house attending the same religious home may not have the same religious principles.

The most important thing we should know as leaders is that every soul longs for communion with the divine and each person designs a way suitable for him/her. By this everybody is or can be righteous in eyes of divine mind, the sectarian – dogmatic or doctrinal attitude we attach to our understanding should be unique to us and not to be forced down the throat of others.

Lead yourself appropriately

“why remove the speck in your brothers eyes when there is a log in your own eyes”–Jesus

Attempt no direct reform in the lives of other but seek within you what needs to be changed and with haste don’t wait for tomorrow start now to change the only person you may be able to change with about 50% sucex…….the person you see in the mirror.

? When was the last time you tried to change a moral flaw in you.

? How was it

? was it easy to do

? how many times have you resolved to do a thing only to forget the thing within the shortest possible time.

At a personal level, the main reason I stopped making new year resolution over 10 years now is that by February I don’t even know what my resolutions are, then from time to time I remind myself of it “intellectually” by reading the paper I wrote them  in and by April I may not even know where the paper is. Then I wait for December to make another resolution.

In our private life, we surely have made efforts to change ourself, effort that never yielded anything, so if it’s this challenging to change another person then what makes us think we must force our ideas down another person’s throat.

Let your leadership enable you live an exemplary life, let that be torchlight for those with ears to follow or those who have eyes to see what is good. But you must remember that the mind of a fool lacks any impetus to learn hence he may disregard you even with all your exemplary life.

However this does not mean you may not try to tell other what you think is right, you will achieve more result when you teach it to those who solicite it or those your leadership position empowers you to teach vital lessons of life.
