Abimael Medina-Diaz Motorcycle Accident – Cause of Death : 37-year-old Abimael Medina-Diaz, of Dover has lost his life in a motorcycle accident that happened on Friday, November 12, 2021 around 11:19 p.m. in Dover.
Preliminary investigation revealed that, the incident happened when a black Ford Fusion driven by 22-year-old man from Victorville, California southbound stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Maple Dale Road and Kenton Road, attempting to make a turn onto Kenton Road. At the same time, a 2007 Harley Davidson that was operated by Medina-Diaz was heading northbound on Kenton Road near Maple Dale Road.
Then, the driver of the Fusion pulled onto Kenton Road and started negotiating a left turn which resulted in the motorcycle colliding with the car. The impact of the collision caused the motorcycle to spun clockwise before coming to a stop. The motorcycle then faced the northbound lane again and rolled over onto its right side and came to a rest on the westbound shoulder of the roadway, slightly in front a private residence.
Medina-Diaz sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. While the 22-year-old driver of the Fusion was treated for minor injuries at the hospital and released.
Abimael Medina-Diaz obituary will be released by his family.
