2 dead, 2 others injured in two-car accident on US 285

Two people who are yet to be identified have reportedly died of injuries incurred following a two-car accident that happened on Highway 285 around 3:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, November 18, 2021 in Bailey, Colorado.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, report was gotten of a small grey that was whose driver was driving recklessly through school zones and crossing the double yellow before it collided head-on with a white Ford. Following the collision, two occupants of the grey car were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, while two occupants of the white Ford were hospitalized with injuries.

Colorado Department of Transportation advised motorist to take alternate routes and also expect delay following the deadly collision. “#US285 (Hampden Ave) southbound: Road closed due to a crash at County Road 43A. US-285 at mile point 225 southbound is closed due to a crash. Expect delays and seek alternate route”.
