This dialogue has a story, which began with our guest, Dr. Adnan Ibrahim, rejecting our first questions, which were mostly about the criticisms and observations published by this newspaper to the writer Ali Al-Amim through eight episodes in a previous period.
The owner of the “Awakening” program, which begins filming next week in preparation for broadcasting the episodes of the second part in Ramadan, confirmed that he had read some of the first episode of Al-Amim, “I did not see criticism worthy of a response, but rather I stood on what many others improve in terms of insults and obscenities and an attempt to delude readers or viewers.” That the speaker is a great thing, but by criticizing others in a crude and exposed way, if it indicates something, then it indicates psychological and moral ill health and nothing more.” Dr. I also met many others with complete disregard, and this is what I will also do this time.” He pointed out that all that Al-Amim does well – at least for those who follow his articles published in “Okaz” – is insulting others and belittling them, thinking that he will appear big in the eyes of people. And because Dr. Adnan Ibrahim is a controversial guest, we had to appreciate his opinion and respect his desire not to respond, and “Okaz” argued with him about his minuscule proposals with thorny and dangerous issues, so the following dialogue was:
• Why don't you respond to your critics? Is it ignore or raise? Why is the rational cultural dialogue, that is, the dialogue of ideas and not of persons, absent from our intellectual arena?
•• It is nice that this impression of me is entrenched, that I do not respond to my critics, who are mostly – if we are accurate in our expression – they are slanderers, and this is evidenced by their words and polemics.
As for why I do not respond to them, my religion is as well as my respect for myself.
And if it were possible for someone to argue with knowledge adorned with politeness and fairness, I would have responded to him and would have been glad of him, and we would have embodied for people an admiring model for the politeness of dialogue and the method of debate in the best way.
Do not be afraid, my dear, that we have recently been living in a moral crisis that is disturbing to the point of frustration, on various levels. What might be left for people of consolation or hope if they see the people of religion and they have persevered in slander, obscenity, lies and contempt?
In my opinion, the absence of high-class dialogue from our arena, which is full of deaf dialogues, indicates a moral and psychological crisis as much as it indicates an intellectual and cognitive crisis, and the meeting of the two matters is about to undermine the credibility of our scholars and thinkers except from the mercy of my Lord.
• Is there a part of your personal history that is not known, or that you deliberately omitted it, even your experience with the Awakening in Gaza, which Jamal Khashoggi asked you to narrate something from, and you answered only a simple thing? What were you, Dr. Adnan? And how did it turn out? Are there upcoming changes?
•• I did not mean to miss a part of my history, for there is nothing to be ashamed of, thanks to God, but the lack of time that governs the program has in turn ruled on me.
In sum, I contacted the Brotherhood as a young child at about ten, and that experience did not last long, as it ended early at about twenty. The reasons for that early separation are summed up here in two reasons that made it more likely that I had the choice of separation at that time. The first: What I sensed from them of intellectual narrow-mindedness surprised me and disturbed me. From the beginning, they tried to exercise intellectual guardianship over me, which consisted in defining what was permitted or prohibited from reading it, and thus saying it and announcing it. Which did not agree with the psyche of Talah, who was made to love knowledge and look forward to turning over all the stones and opening all the doors. The second: Since the spiritual and moral aspect was an absolute priority for me, an irreparable brokenness occurred here, so many experiences during those ten years strengthened my certainty that the people lacked a lot in this area, and that the order of priorities between us is inconsistent and opposite. Thus, there is nothing left for me to tempt me to continue according to my formation and capabilities. Nearly 30 years later, I still see the good in what I did. No matter how true the intention and clear the way.
With regard to future transformations, the answer depends on what is meant by the question. I am not an ideologue, nor a politician, nor an organizer. I am only a seeker of truth and an appeal to knowledge. And I fill it with a defect of ignorance of my concern.
I respect the Emirates
• Your last exit from the Emirates, some referred to its reasons as suspicions of the Brotherhood.. What is the truth about that? To what extent does the Muslim Brotherhood pose a threat to the state and society?
•• Regarding my exit from the Emirates, no statement has been issued by a responsible authority expressing the reason for that. During that time, I commented that the UAE, as every country, has the right to allow whoever it wants and to prevent whoever it wants from entering its territory, and I fully respect and understand this right. And I still hope for all the good for the beloved Emirates, as for the rest of our country, and I pray to God for that, and to spare them evil and harm.
With regard to the second part of the question, we have established our conviction that politicized religious organizations, whatever they may be, pose a double danger to religion as well as to the state, for a number of reasons that have merit, and the field here does not expand to present them, but it is sufficient for those who are aware of what we see in these dark days of disasters and tribulations that are imminent. To come upon our whole structure of bases.
• Your Twitter account is devoted to publishing Friday sermons and your media interviews, and your opinion on events and issues is absent.. Why? Is space constraint the reason? And how do you see this blue bird in terms of its proposals and its impact?
•• You might be surprised, dear, if you knew that I did not log into this account of mine once, and I did not post a single tweet until now, and I do the same with my official account on Facebook, and despite my awareness of my shortcomings in this aspect, I have not succeeded so far in deducting part of the time Most of it is devoted to reading, and at least – finally – to writing, in order to fulfill some of the rights of these social media outlets, and that is only that I am still that responsible student who is passionate, if not mad, with science and thought in other than the field and field.
And since I do not pursue political events by commenting, I took upon myself about two years ago a vow that I think I have fulfilled to a large extent: to divorce speech in politics irrevocably and irrevocably, and limit it to issues of science and thought and what pertains to it, and then I disclosed my reasons and justifications. The results so far have come to bear witness to the correctness of my decision.
The Blue Bird remains a very effective means of communicating with large audiences, but what is more important: what is being said, and what is it serving?
absence of vision
• You have sermons or theses about atheism.. Do you see why atheism is increasing? The most important question is, do these young people have foundational convictions and deep ideologies supported by solid materialistic and dialectical thought? Or is the situation nothing more than a free escape, and a kind of regression from the far right to the far left, and therefore it is a form of extremism, nothing less or more?
•• The increase in atheism in Muslim countries is caused by a number of reasons, the foremost of which is the psychological reason, in the sense that atheism here is a cry of anger and objection to conditions that do not please the mind. A failure, in which one lives and spends, and hardly feels his humanity. Behind these conditions is an unpleasant mixture of the political and the religious, who allied to justify and sustain them.
We also have a flood of openness to the other, scientifically and intellectually, an openness that we did not anticipate and did not initiate early by building dams. Thus, the youth suddenly found themselves confronted with the propositions, writings, and debates of Western atheists, as opposed to religious propositions steeped in preaching and traditionalism, at a level of extreme superficiality and naivety.
As for the fact that these young men in general emanate from deep thought and study that lead to atheism, then of course not, and those who follow their questions and objections know that, which do not indicate anything significant in that.
• You expressed your disappointment with the number of follow-ups and views that talk about the achievements of the Saudi scientist Ghada Al-Mutairi, and you said: “Some of the comments speak like: Damn her knowledge.. Damn her inventions. Where is her niqab? Where is her veil?” Then she continued, saying: “Here we are today. We sent Ghada Al-Mutairi and she benefited the whole world.. If you were not Arab or belonged to another country, the whole world would have heard of you and your discoveries.” .. Do you mean that the West was racist here? In your opinion, who is responsible for the limited follow-up to such great achievements that benefit humanity?
•• Dr. Ghada and dozens like her are among our sons and daughters whom we are proud of, despite all the honors they received and the hospitality with which the West met them. But fairness necessitates us here to say: Let us leave the rest of the racism of Westerners and tell me about the racism of Arabs and Muslims towards each other, then come and tell me about our country's interest in the geniuses of its sons and daughters, and before that tell me about the extent that our country has reached in the localization of science and technology and the modernization of the state and its institutions Let's catch up with the people or let's inform some of them!
The limited follow-up to the work of Dr. Al-Mutairi and others like her reflects the absence of our vision and plan. Our priorities are completely reversed, and a pilot who has not specified his destination will not benefit from the direction of the wind. Otherwise, by God, a nation lacks more stages than it has in the field of science and technology in their various fields. How does it explain the hysterical turnout in it to a degree First on singing and singing programs and then – albeit to a lesser extent – on inflammatory and poisonous religious discourses? What did we do with the likes of Ahmed Zewail, Jamal Hamdan and Hamed Rabie? Who among our thinkers succeeded in living from his pen? Al-Akkad died poor, Rashid Reda, the owner of Al-Manar, died without owning the house in which he lived. Al-Jahiz was right when he said: The land of its scholar was killed, and the land of its ignorant was killed.
• In your opinion, what is the relationship between religion and politics? Or how do you see it?
•• Religion's relationship with politics, such as its relationship with economics, agriculture, and other sciences and industries: presenting a value framework that elevates the values of mercy, justice, dignity, freedom, responsibility, and mastery…etc.
A nation does not live without a state, nor a state without politics. Politics is one of the affairs of nations and groups, and if the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers be upon him and his family, said: “You are more knowledgeable about the affairs of your world,” then Imam Ali, may God honor his face, decided the matter, counting politics from the affairs of the world and not from the affairs of the world. Religion, by saying in the caliphate of Abu Bakr: The Messenger of God accepted him for our religion, so shall we not accept him for our world?
The lesson of our Islamic history is that linking religion with politics as we know it harmed all religion and politics, and only the corrupt, tyrannical politicians benefited from it. Is it time for us to become aware of the necessity of breaking the link between the two, so that the two can be reconciled for us together after being corrupted for a long time? May.
• You go to mined and very dangerous areas around some historical events? What is your reasoning or documented account here? And do you deliberately throw such heavy stones in order to make a great noise and a huge bang?
•• I have never intended, as far as I know from myself and my intention, to raise a topic with the intention of provoking and attracting attention, and that is because I am by nature ascetic to the extent of hatred in fame and drawing attention, but the fact of the matter is that I reveal what I see, I do not make calculations of benefit and loss, but rather it is my conviction that I present it to people With complete sincerity and transparency, and when I raised the issues raised around them that raised a great deal of controversy and still do, God knows that I aimed only at trying to bridge the gap and bridge the gap between the Muslims, whom I realized from a long time ago what is intended for them in terms of strife and erosion, which is ultimately in favor of their enemy. Not in their favor, and I had hoped to take a step from my side that the other side would reward it with a step from his side, so that we would meet in the middle of the road brothers united by one Islam and one concern, so we would devote ourselves to building our homelands and guarding our interests, but far from it, if what is required is great, the helper is less, I was rewarded against my intention and sinful people insisted not They fear usury and do not observe their brother’s covenant over my slandering of bones and my slandering of animals: “A tucked-up Shiite who seeks to deceive and obscure the Sunnis and its people, an agent of Iran, a disdainful and damned heretic, a seeker of fame and a seeker of sedition.” And God encompasses them behind them, and their work is well-acquainted, all-seeing.
• Some of the historical novels that you depend on were not subject to the balance of scientific criticism, just as some narrators of historical novels transmitted them with passions and inclinations that are not fair and not neutral.. How do you face such facts?
As for my evidence for what I say, I spent a lot of it in its time and in a way other than my method, by reading from the sources and specifying the part and the number of the newspaper to facilitate review and tracking, and I did not rely on a historical narration that was correct or incorrect in order to deduce from the unseen a great matter that cannot be definitively compared to another. Rather, it is a continuous history that I and you cannot refute, even if I seek the help of the two weighty things, and without you an example of what I mean: Do you find anyone from this late nation or from all the other nations that came into contact with it, setting an example with the mercy and fairness of the pilgrims? Oh God, no, and on the other hand, do you find a fair-minded Muslim or an infidel in the East and West who is ignorant of the justice of Umar al-Faruq, with which the riders rode and set proverbs? Even among the Shiites, he found someone who was fair to him – when he respected the facts – so he acknowledged his justice and fairness. But you will not be excluded here or there from those who raise controversy about this or that narration regarding the justice of Omar or the injustice of Al-Hajjah, and there is nothing wrong with it, in the end the picture remains the same as the framework and content.

• In issues of historical criticism during the period of the Companions, may God be pleased with them.. Do you regret bringing it up? Or have you changed your convictions on the same issues? Or have you changed your convictions on the occasion of its introduction?
•• I was asked before about this, and my answer was clear. I regret opening this file in terms of the fact that I realized through experience that the nation as a whole, Sunnis and Shiites, is unfortunately not yet ready to review its history, to which it mortgaged its present and future. I realized with full regret and heartbreak that the two parties in general are drowned in the delusion of possessing the absolute truth, and every review that a party can tolerate is pre-conditioned that its outcome is in its favor. It was not necessary for wisdom to continue on the same path, missing the opportunity to present dozens of other files that we desperately need, and this is what it was. As for me changing my conviction by denouncing injustice and darkness and siding with justice and light, I seek refuge in God Almighty from that.
• Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghathami says that strict jurisprudence made the young generation turn to Adnan Ibrahim despite his nonsense and crimes.. Doesn't such an opinion bother you, especially when it comes as a tweet from a great intellectual and critic, Al-Ghathami?
•• Dr. Al-Ghadami did not add to his insults except that he joined the chorus of cursers whom God will judge between me and them on the day we stand before him, and if their insults returned to them by the grace of God in this world, there are still people who distinguish the bad from the good. And I do not know why the man insulted me – and he absolutely does not know what I am or what I said – except that the matter is an attempt to get closer to someone who still complains about their injustice to him and their oppression against him until they disbelieved him and expelled him from the religion. And if the man has the intention of being fair, then I do not hope that he will only review the names of the sermons of the past year 2016 to see whether I am from nonsense or is she from me?
• «Dignities» was the subject of contention between your supporters and opponents? Do you think that dignities still live in our time? Why didn't you make sense of this dignities discourse?
O, my master, whoever wanted to question the dignity, let him first question the dignity of Maryam Bint Imran, and the dignity of the Companions of the Cave, whom God put to death for a hundred years and then resurrected, and who brought the throne of the Queen of Sheba in the blink of an eye, and let him question the pregnancy of the husband of our master Ibrahim at the height of her age after he You have despaired of menstruation for a long time, and leave what is correct in the Sunnah and elaborate, for that is the scope narrows. And if you want to be amazed, then be amazed at a people whose denunciation was prolonged like me at the time when they boasted about the honors of their sheikhs in the past and in the modern without embarrassment, even though they did not reach the claim of knowing the unseen of the Preserved Tablet! Teaching the elves the impositions of Sharia law!
And the nation is applied to the continuity of dignity for its people in every place and time. As for I did not rationalize the discourse of dignity, I point out that it is not an essential part of my discourse, for those who follow my discourse, then I have done more than once, and it suffices to remind here that dignity is nothing more than a breach of habit than of reason, and its way through this consideration is the way of a miracle. The narrowest limits are the limits of habit, followed by the limits of knowledge, so that the limits of reason remain the widest. Neither miracle nor dignity – for those who protect their nose to the mind – contradict the mind, and the law brings the oysters of the minds, but it does not bring their impossibility. It is a mistake to subject religious belief to the limits set by science, which by their nature will remain open and mobile. As for those who are jealous of science, I refer them to the latest respected scientific studies in the field of parapsychology.
And God speaks the truth and He guides the way, and from Him alone is guidance and aid.
