A number of residents of the Al-Khaleej, Al-Nasiriyah, Al-Wajiat and Al-Morouj neighborhoods in Buraydah were surprised that work on one of the horizontal borehole sites for draining torrents had stopped for more than two years, which was being implemented by the Municipality of Al-Qassim region with the participation of some parties. They explained that the puncture sites are located on one of the service roads of the inner southern ring, specifically at the intersection of Al Nasiriyah Road with the ring heading west, and its closure caused pressure on parallel roads, in addition to traffic jams at peak times.

Abdulaziz Al-Hamoud told Okaz: In Al-Morouj neighborhood, we have been suffering from road closures for more than two years, especially since it is considered an essential artery for the population. And Abdul Karim Al-Abd Al-Aziz agreed with him, and added: The closed service road used to serve most of the residents of the southwestern neighborhoods of the city of Buraidah, and we hope that the Secretariat will close the hole and open the road until work is restored again or open one lane for the passage of small vehicles to solve the closure crisis.

“Okaz” contacted the spokesperson for the Municipality of the region, who confirmed the follow-up of the matter and commenting upon the completion of the information.
