Al-Hababi stressed that the third pledge of allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques assuming the helm of the country comes with huge and accelerated steps in terms of economic and development reforms, from which the Kingdom's Vision 2030 emerged, which is a method and road map for economic and development work, and an important step in moving the Kingdom to broader and more comprehensive horizons by strengthening The Kingdom’s position in the global economy, raising the pace of coordination and integration between government agencies, enhancing transparency and integrity, as well as the executive programs of the vision, including the National Transformation Program aimed at raising the efficiency of government spending, achieving financial balance, and reducing dependence on oil.
Al-Hababi added that since King Salman took over the reins of power, the private sector in general and information technology and networks in particular have enjoyed unlimited support, and during his reign it witnessed a tangible development, reflecting his great interest in this sector, his belief in the importance of the information sector and advancing the wheel of development.
He explained that in this auspicious era, many projects, initiatives and reforms were launched through the implementation of a number of measures aimed at revitalizing the economy's performance during the coming year 2018; Including the implementation of packages to stimulate investment, and continuing to pay any financial obligations to the private sector within a maximum of 60 days of receiving them with complete procedures to the Ministry of Finance, as well as continuing efforts to encourage and facilitate investment procedures in the Kingdom and improve the level of government services, and implement projects in the sectors of construction, tourism, culture and entertainment, In addition to implementing privatization programs that are expected to provide new opportunities for private investment growth and generating more job opportunities, and developing a framework and system for partnership between the public and private sectors. The government will continue to implement initiatives to limit the negative effects of reforms on eligible citizens, including the implementation of the Citizen Account Program; It is an important initiative to help those who are eligible for subsidies face the additional costs that may result from correcting energy prices and value-added tax levels, by redirecting subsidies to the most deserving groups.
Al-Hababi said: The era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques witnessed the Kingdom’s continuation in confronting all forms of terrorism, and drying up its sources. Rather, it went beyond fighting it from the local to the international level through the formation of an Islamic military alliance to combat terrorism, which confirms the Kingdom’s pioneering role in combating this scourge, which affected Muslims. And all Islamic countries suffered from it, adding that the humanity of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was manifested at the regional and international levels through humanitarian relief work and support convoys that go to all corners of the earth, and wherever the vulnerable Muslims and the poor are, and this covenant also witnessed the continuation of meeting the demands of the legitimate government of Yemen and the people. The Yemeni, whose land and wealth were plundered and whose security and stability were destabilized by outlaw militias, supported by forces with colonial ambitions.
