I’m sad to announce the passing of my Grandad Alfred Smith ‘Fred’ at 6.45am this morning at the age of 96. He has been the nearest thing to a dad to me since my dad died in 1989. He was a smart, well dressed, polite and a proper gentleman who would give away his last penny to anyone who needed it more than him. He was someone who I could look up to. Now he is at peace and reunited with my Nan and his mom who he loved to so much.
