Despite the scarcity of horses and their high price, many young people made them his favorite hobby, and he began to roam the world in search of purebred horses and searched for their beauty. Horse enthusiasts, despite their fewness, are present there on the outskirts of cities and dusty areas. They established their “stables” and inhabited them, leaving the other world to everyone. He does not know anything about horses. This hobby begins with riding a horse by chance, then searching on the Internet for information or another, then owning a horse, then learning to ride it.

"Okaz" accompanied them in their "stables" and collected their stories, monitored their passion for horses, and heard some of their suffering with the concerned authorities.

In the city of Jeddah, specifically in the “al-Khumra” area, they gather, where the bride’s knights and horse producers call it “the land of hope.” It is the starting point for horse lovers, because it is the land that gave them hope to own their own stud. outer space.

Abdullah Aqili, like other horse enthusiasts, began his love after he partnered with one of his friends to buy my horse and called it "Sukkara". It was the first love and the key that opened for him this world full of love, adventure and sometimes sadness.

Abdullah says, there is a tangible connection between imagination and horses, and no one else can feel that connection. Time to play, get out of the cleats, and feel free.

After the first horse “Sukkara”, I started studying horses and knowing the types and lineages, and I decided to start my career with sophistication. I used to sell horses or exchange them for better horses, with the aim of improvement, not trade. Pedigree and registration of horses to the father, grandfather and dynasty, and many other information proving their lineage, and the King Abdulaziz Center for Purebred Arabian Horses is the issuing authority for those certificates.

And it was not for free, as it cost me a lot of money and effort, and due to the lack of resources, I had to participate with a number of horse lovers, with the aim of buying a distinguished and expensive stallion, as I finally participated with 35 horsemen to obtain a distinguished horse from Kuwait that contributes to improving production, as well Horses are very expensive in terms of nutrition, treatment, medicine, training, and a lot of money is spent because of the love of horses only.

And not only money is the only obstacle, because love for horses takes all the time sometimes, so there are days when I do not see my family or friends for long periods because of my presence with horses, and through that presence feelings of love, adoration and sadness are born, so I remember that one of my happiest situations was when I gave birth to my first mare A little filly, I was very happy with her, as if she was my daughter, and one of the sad situations was that I had to sell one of the horses that was very close to my heart, and although the deal was good, I was very sad and missed her a lot.

Abdullah explains that there is communication between horse lovers, and through this communication, experiences are exchanged and some obstacles facing them are resolved, but there are many problems that they cannot solve and need intervention from specialized government centers such as the King Abdulaziz Center for Arabian Horses, Equestrian, Agriculture and others, stressing There is a growing number of young horse lovers of all kinds, but there is still a lot for the competent authorities to do to serve this group of amateurs.

Horse and equestrian lovers have different reasons. There are those who love racing, and there are those who want access to the production of purebred Arabian horses, and there are those who use them in jumping, and finally (showing) the beauty of horses.

As for Muhammad Al-Maliki, his first love and attachment to horses was because of a horse he bought with his brother Abdul Rahman, and it was one of the cheap municipal horses, and through it he began to trade in cooperation with his brother in municipal horses and gained experience in that hobby at that time.

And he says: «I received an invitation from one of the stables adjacent to my stud, and it was about a horse beauty contest, and at that time I had no background in these types of competitions or what a horse beauty tournament is. It is the starting point in my love for the beauty of horses after I was crowned fifth place by Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, at that time I realized my compass towards it and continued progress in obtaining beautiful horses and participating in competitions.

He adds that the beautiful horses have conditions that he began to know, and he realized how to select the purebred Arabian horses that are suitable for this type of participation. They must be small-headed, short-nosed, and stand in a symmetrical and beautiful manner.

I have participated in many competitions in Riyadh, Dubai and Qatar, and I am striving to fulfill my dream, which is to participate in international competitions in Europe and America.

Al-Maliki added that there is an increasing demand among young people to own horses, but the competitions held are still self-contests through merchants, and he calls for seasonal competitions so that young people can participate in them, in various fields, not just horse beauty competitions.

Young Khaled Al-Bassam said that he had loved horses since he was young, as there were a number of horses on his father’s farm, and he was separated from the horse by the concerns of life and study and drawing his future. .

Al-Bassam owns Arabian horses that he spends his time with on weekends, and indicates that the lack of time and his concerns stand between him and achieving his dream of obtaining a large number of horses and producing a good breed. He says that he sees himself after retirement surrounded by many horses, and he must achieve his dream and satisfy his passion for horses one day.
