31-Year-old Woman Who Went Hiking Has Died Following Heat-Related Illness

A local woman from Saugus, a town in Massachusetts has died after going on a hike with an unknown man at the Camelback Mountain on Friday, July 30th. She was such a beautiful, kind, strong, good-hearted woman who would do anything for anyone.

“The North Shore native was visiting a man she met on Instagram. Fire officials say he’s lived in Arizona for decades & is an expert hiker” Angela Tramonte said.

What Happened To Angela Tramonte – Cause Of Death

She recently took a trip to Arizona to meet a man she was talking to online for two months. Before her death, we confirmed from related reports, she had gone with the unknown man up Camelback Mountain.

Halfway up the mountain, Angela told this man, who is a police officer and first responder, that she was exhausted and couldn’t continue. She supposedly walked back down the mountain ALONE to the car while this man continued on by himself. He clearly has no regard for her safety. She went missing for hours and was found dead from heat exhaustion Officials said Tramonte was found dead by an officer outside a home near the mountain. Firefighters believe she was attempting to reach someone for help before she collapsed.

Angela Tramonte was born and raised in Saugus, MA. Angela lived a very healthy, active lifestyle. She woke up early every morning to go to the gym. She did weekly meal planning and was obsessed with drinking water. She also loved walking her dog Dolce every day.

SAUGUS (CBS) — Grief quickly turned to anger for the friends of 31-year-old Angela Tramonte. The Saugus woman died after hiking in Phoenix, Arizona Friday.
“Not even 24 hours and she’s dead,” said her best friend Stacey Gerardi.
Tramonte was visiting Phoenix for the first time to see a man that she met on Instagram, according to her closest friends. The pair set out on a hike up the notorious Camelback Mountain in the intense July heat when fire officials say Tramonte decided it was too hot and wanted to turn around. Her partner, who friends say is a police officer, wanted to continue to the top, so the pair split up.
The 31-year-old’s body was found near a home at the base of the mountain four hours later. Authorities believe she collapsed while seeking help for heat exhaustion and dehydration.
