Reports confirmed, he died from a vehicle accident. We are still working on getting more information concerning the death of Anthony.
Who Is Anthony Toineeta
Anthony was tough, gritty, and relentless. He also was a jokester and a prankster. He always had a big smile on his face until it came time to step on the line…and then he was all business.
He worked out with our kids at our place often and was a student of the sport.
He will be remembered as a champ, a hammer, and a good soul. Our sincere condolences to the entire Toineeta family. Godspeed and God Bless.
Tributes To Late Anthony Toineeta
We are very saddened to learn about the passing of Anthony Toineeta. His family, the Cherokee Wrestling program, and the Queen’s Wrestling program are in our thoughts and prayers as they pass through this difficult time.
I am heartbroken over the loss of one of our very best, Anthony Toineeta. Anthony was a student of mine and he was one of the hardest working students I ever had the honor of teaching. He always had a funny story to tell and he would make me laugh so hard sometimes it hurt. Our tribe has lost a champion. My thoughts and prayers are with Bruce and Sunshine and the entire Toineeta family.
Don’t really know what to say, am still lost for words, and still don’t believe it. You were a gooden Anthony Toineeta! You were always cracking jokes and giving everyone hell, life’s unfair and the gardens always go too soon, at least you’re in a better place and not in this cruel world. I can only imagine what it’s like up there, we will see each other again someday. Rest In Peace, Ant. Much love
