I sadly learned about the death of Dr Anwah Nagia, one of the founders of the Palestine Museum, the prominent name of South African Muslims. I wish God’s mercy on him, I wish his grieving family and South African Muslims patience.

Human rights activist, businessman and philanthropist Dr Anwah Nagia has died from a COVID-19 related illness at 62. The founder of the District Six Museum has been described as a revolutionary and champion of the oppressed who will be sorely missed.

The South African Muslim activist and businessman Dr. Anwah Nagia passed away in Cape Town, where she was treated for Covid-19.
