It has a solid reputation in the basketball video game industry. There is only one competition to 2K with NBA 2K22 MT the name of NBA Live. 2K has been the most dominant player in the market over the past five to six years, despite infrequent releases. The dominance has resulted in record-setting numbers for 2K Sports, Take-Two Interactive and the game hasn’t developed over the last several years. NBA 2K20 is arguably the worst release in the series since NBA 2K8. It was not a lot of innovation in the game’s gameplay. It was like the game’s creators used NBA 2K19, slapped a lot of paint on the game and made it available as NBA 2K20. The only thing that changed in the game was the amount of advertisements that were placed over MyCareer and the Park. I am convinced that NBA 2K could be the best game, and the issues that must be addressed are minor. Any improvements suggested will enhance the game in overall. 2K has a strong base however the features could use a little refinement.
Player Likenesses – Classic teams have been a part of 2K since 2011. There have been some problems with the classic teams through the years, but there’s a big issue with player likeness licensing. If a player is retired, NBA 2K needs to pay the player a certain fee every year to allow their image for the game. Some players are not willing to allow their likeness to be utilized in the game. 2K has never reached acceptable financial agreements with any of the players.
