It is with great sadness that the WateReuse Association mourns the loss of Dr. Bahman Sheikh, who passed away on July 28. Bahman was a water reuse pioneer who was elected to the WateReuse Board in 1993 and became a lifetime member in 2013.

It is with great sadness to inform you Dr. Bahman Sheikh passed away. I was lucky to work with him early in my career on water reuse issues especially, potable reuse. We shared a lot of poop jokes. He was a great advocate for water recycling.We lost a great champion. #RIP #h2

It is a sad day for the #waterreuse family as our dear friend Dr. Bahman Sheikh passed away this morning. His impact on reuse around the world was amazing. Such a kind, generous and intelligent man. I will miss his smile most of all.
