It is with great sadness to announce that one of our past players and a great supporter of Stirlingshire Table Tennis, Barrie Hills sadly passed away on Monday at the age of 80.
Barrie was a stalwart of Falkirk Table Tennis Club for many years and formed a long serving partnership with Gary Rodgers for many years in the league.
When he eventually left the league to play in West Lothian he supported them in the same manner and never lost his competitive edge in his later years. His fighting spirit was not only evident in matches but also in overcoming numerous health scares in in recent years.
He was also just a very genuine nice man who will be missed by all his friends in Stirlingshire, West Lothian and the Scottish Vets who he represented with distinction on many occasion.
Our thoughts and condolences to Lewis ,Lesley and the rest of the family.
Rest in Peace Barrie I hope there’s a table waiting there for you.
We are still working on getting more details about the death, as a family statement on the death is yet to be released.
