Belinda Sykes Death – Cause of Death – Belinda Sykes a London-based oboist, passed away on the 16th of November 2021 at the 55. She died of cancer. According to reports, Belinda can sing in various ethnic styles including Bulgarian singing and Arabic singing. She studied oboe, baroque oboe and recorder at the Guildhall School of Music; voice and improvisation in Morocco, Bulgaria, Syria, Spain and India.

Belinda was a professor of medieval music at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. She has taught in numerous schools including at Newcastle University, Exeter University, York University, Guildhall School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music.

She majored in theatre music (contemporary scores in addition to Elizabethan and medieval genres), historical and folk/world music. Joglaresa said in an article that Belinda’s theatre highlights include: Sir Harrison Birtwistle’s oboe soloist for Bacchai at the National Theatre, Musical Director/oboist for King Charles III (Almeida and West End), actor/vocalist alongside Ben Whishaw in Bakkhai at the Almeida, singing while flying in As You Like It at the National Theatre.
