Those traveling on the Al-Ablaa-Jurd road, which connects Al-Ablaa center in the far west of Bisha and the Jard center in the Al-Baha region, suffer from frequent torrential rains and lack of maintenance. Passengers called for solutions to the detentions and taking care of the road.
Saad Muhammad and Abdullah Al-Ghamdi explained that the road was established by the branch of the Ministry of Transport in Al-Baha region, and it is of great importance in linking Bisha with Al-Baha, and residents take it to reach schools, the university and health services, but what constitutes a concern for travelers and for the people of the two centers and neighboring villages is the large flow of torrents from Wadi Rania and Shawas, who block the road due to its lack of bridges and ferries, which facilitate traffic movement during the flow of torrents. And they said: «We are accustomed to the sight of travelers languishing in their cars for long hours behind the valleys and cannot cross them, especially Wadi Rania, as the design of the low road made matters worse, and it turns into a pool of water, mud and mud, which impedes traffic for several days, which requires action from the Ministry Transportation and logistics services by establishing a bridge in order to preserve the safety of transients, male and female students.
For his part, Mufreh Al-Aklabi explains the need for maintenance on the Jourd-Al-Abla road, especially since there are many potholes that damage vehicles, especially in the Shawas valley near the water shafts, as water leakage from the shafts led to the destruction of the road and the creation of deep holes affecting cars. And it causes road users to resort to reversing traffic in attempts to avoid falling into potholes. Al-Aklabi added, "We demand the repair of potholes at the site and other sites, and the establishment of torrential crossing boards and standards that determine the quantities of water that guide passers-by on all the valleys, Rania and Shawas."
