Body of Missing Resident found by Bridgewater Police and Law Enforcement Partners.
News reaching us now is that the Bridgewater Police Chief Christopher D. Delmonte said, after a lengthy search, Bridgewater Police and its regional first responder partners located the body of a missing town resident late Wednesday afternoon. The man’s body was found in a wooded area near the Scotland Industrial Park by the Massachusetts Department of Correction K-9 staff.
The 67-year-old man was reported missing by his family , they said he was missing from his North Street home last Tuesday. after he was reported missing multiple agencies conducted an important search for him. The search included a drone, all terrain vehicles, K-9 search teams and infrared cameras.
Chief Delmonte said “The Bridgewater Police Department would like to offer its sincere condolences to the family our resident, We appreciate the response of our surrounding communities’ police and fire departments from throughout the region that joined the search effort.”
There was no Foul play suspected in the man’s death, however as is standard procedure, the death is under investigation by Bridgewater Police Detectives and State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office.
