Brandon Malone Jr Death – Cause of Death : 6-year-old Brandon Malone Jr. has been identified as the victim of the Highview neighbourhood shooting Thursday night.
Police responded to a shooting report at about 10:10 p.m. in the 8200 block of Sandidge Drive. Officers arrived and located a boy later identified as 6-year-old Brandon Malone, Jr. shot at the scene. Officials say responding EMS pronounced the kid dead at the scene.
According to the Louisville Metro Police Department Major Matt Meagher, 10-year-old Erik Perez was shot and killed in Shelbyville. Seven days before that, a 3-year-old was shot in a Louisville apartment but survived.
Therapist Laurie Qualah of Seven County Services reports rising case numbers, with kids shutting down or acting out. We see more behavior problems, We see more emotional shutdown and crying spells. And all of those are signs of warning that we need to talk to our kids.
