Brandon Malone, Jr. Death – Cause of Death – 6-year-old Brandon Malone, Jr. was killed in a shooting in the Highview neighborhood on Thursday night, 2nd of December 2021. Authorities said they were alerted around 10 p.m. about a shooting in the 8200 block of Sandidge Drive. When the Louisville Metro Police Department officers got to the scene, they discovered Brandon with gunshot wounds at the location. Brandon was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reports says that family members of Malone are waiting for answers from authorities. An LMPD press release said they want to present the case to the Commonwealth(’s) Attorney’s Office to determine if and what charges may be appropriate. According to Wave3News, Brandon is the latest young life to be ended by gunfire in the region; fifteen days earlier, 10-year-old Erik Perez was shot and killed in Shelbyville. Seven days before that, a 3-year-old was shot in a Louisville apartment but survived, news outlets mentioned.
