Cameron was a lovely teenager who loves and enjoys photography. He was popular in Hillcrest High School with a lot of friends. He was loved and cherished by his family and friends, and the entire Hillcrest community, it is really sad and devastating as his death left his family, friend, and Hillcrest community in shock and grief. He will be greatly missed but his memory will last forever in the heart of many he has touched.
He is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, He was born in the year 2005, he is a junior at Hillcrest High School. He was born to Tammy R. Hopson and pastor Prince Calvin Prince Sr. He was the youngest child of his family, from a young age Cameron loves football and baseball, and percussions but was told at the age of seven that he will not be able to be an athlete due to his heart condition. As he was coming up, He started photographer and became a pro in it producing magnificent scenes in his shots. His mother Tammy R. Hopson-Prince posted some pictures on Facebook and she quotes “Our son knew the Lord and had a relationship and knew whom he was in Christ Some of his motivational quotes and scriptures in his room. We love you, Cameron Prince.”
Leah Hall Farley posted on Facebook in memory of Cameron, the post read “Every Friday for the last 12 weeks, I have woken up to a text message and graphic from Cameron Prince. You see… Cameron did all of the photography and graphics work for the Hillcrest Football team. He was just as much a part of the team as any player on that field wearing a jersey. He loved anything Hillcrest and he had the most Patriot Pride! He LOVED so big. He was a FRIEND to ALL, a true friend. He could have cared less if you were young/old, black/white, band member/football player, etc. I have never known anyone to have as many friends as Cameron and he was only 16 years old. He always seemed to be right there when I needed someone to hold the door for me or help me carry something heavy. I can assure you that he will be missed by so many. But back to those Friday morning messages… they always started with “RISE AND SHINE. It’s Gameday!” Well, tomorrow morning I won’t have a text from Cameron but I will rise and shine, not because it’s game day. But because I know that Cameron Prince knew Our Lord and Savior and I know that he is in heaven worshiping Jesus. He will have the best seat in the house for tomorrow night’s big game. Please continue to pray for the Prince family and all who knew and loved Cam.”
Cameron Prince’s obituary will be organized by the family.
