Her name was Cecily Cornett. Her body was discovered at the home of William Slaton, who claimed he did not kill her but confessed to cutting off distinguishing features and putting her body in the barrel after her death.

UPDATE: Butler Co Coroner just identified the woman found dead in a barrel in Middletown as 21-year-old Cecily Cornett of Somerville.Man accused in this case also served time for conspiring to kill an FBI agent and child porn.
In this case, he’s accused of cutting off a woman’s fingers and tattoos from her body and putting her body in a metal drum.
Woman’s name and cause of death have not yet been released by the Butler County Coroner.
We are still working on getting more details about the death, as family statement on the death is yet to be released.
