The Chairman of the Council of the Saudi Factory, the pioneer in the manufacture of materials for communication and information technology networks, Ahmed Al-Saman, congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Prince Muhammad bin Salman, on the occasion of the third pledge of allegiance to King Salman assuming the reins of power, praising the achievements that It was written during his reign and will be immortalized in history locally, in the Arab world, Islamicly and internationally.
He said that the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques witnessed achievements in various sectors, including education, industry, communications, information technology, culture, transportation, energy, and in the field of communications and information technology, and the steps of King Salman, his faithful crown prince, and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology are accelerating towards achieving digital transformation, which will contribute to a clear role in improving the citizen's experience. Reducing costs and raising production efficiency, which will create new opportunities, noting that allocating unprecedented budgets to deploy fiber-optic networks in all cities will contribute to spreading wireless broadband services in villages and abandonment.
Al-Suman said: “When the Kingdom celebrates the third year of allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as King of the country with more security and prosperity, the Arab citizen, not only the Saudi, feels proud of what has been achieved during the three years of developmental decisions on the economic and political levels, which made the Kingdom confirm its regional and international status.” It draws the world's attention to its serious and resolute work in combating terrorism and achieving stability and peace regionally and internationally, by establishing an Islamic alliance that includes more than 47 Islamic countries.
He added: «We feel pride and dignity in living under the sky of a strong and brave homeland, which derived its strength since the era of the founder, King Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him – and proved his strength, dignity and dignity when King Salman bin Abdulaziz assumed the reins of power, due to his firmness and determination that gave the homeland more prestige. He proved to the nation its prestige and unity, by supporting the brotherly Yemeni people, standing by the legitimacy in Yemen, and limiting the external danger and foreign interference in the Arab countries.
Al-Suman believed that this leadership role, in which the Kingdom took the initiative under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, proved to the world that this country not only enjoys an influential economic role at the regional and global levels, but also enjoys an important political and military role, as it supports legitimacy in Yemen, in Decisive Storm, and then It restores hope, stability and development to Yemen in the stage of restoring hope that is taking place during the current period, at a time when some countries in our region suffer from political instability and economic weakness, the Kingdom stands proudly and resolutely, maintains its security, and cohesive its people with its leadership. Al-Saman added: “The Kingdom is experiencing a quantum leap in the Internet penetration rate, which rose at high rates during the three years to about 76% by the end of the second quarter of 2017. The number of Internet users in the Kingdom is currently estimated at about 24.1 million users, and the demand for Internet services and broadband has increased recently. With the great use and connection to social media channels, the subscriber is looking for higher speeds and larger download capacities, and therefore the amount of data used has increased dramatically in the past few years. It is expected that the demand for Internet services will witness a significant increase in the next few years as a result of the expansion of fiber networks. Optical (FTTx) and the high speeds it provides, especially in large cities, as a first stage by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and the wide coverage of third and fourth generation networks in various regions of the Kingdom.
