“This morning I woke up with a negative attitude towards the day, 5:30 in the morning and I was already in a bad mood. I was mad my phone screen got busted, irritated my plumbing at the house is having issues, I was out of coffee, and a mile long list of things I need to get done. I was irritated with all the inconveniences life was giving me but yet didn’t stop to think, “I woke up this morning and get another day at this crazy life”. While at work I learned of the passing of a girl I went to high school with, and my heart sank. She was a mom, a wife, with a child the same age as mine own, and expecting another little one. Instant guilt set in, how could I have been so entitled, so annoyed over all those little inconveniences. My mama heart absolutely breaks in a million pieces for her little boy, her husband, her family, and her friends. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain and shock they are in, her little boy wondering when his mama is coming home. Life is absolutely unfair and cruel, we don’t understand it. It’s so easy to question Gods decisions and ways when things like this happen. Why would he take a mother tragically and in a split second from her young child, why would he take someone’s loving wife and daughter away at such a young age. Life is too short to complain and bicker about the little things, instead it needs to be spent being thankful for what we do have, for the people we have. So tonight keep her family in your prayers, pray for her husband as he navigates parenthood and life without his wife, as he has the daunting task of planning services now, her parents as they do something no parent should have to do, her friends and family, and her little one as he learns life without his mama
