Charles Dinn, who was Kings Island’s director of construction, maintenance, and engineering and oversaw construction of the Beast roller coaster, has died. He was 88.
He created the Dinn Corp., which relocated several wooden roller coasters, including Playland’s Rocket to Knoebels, where it became Phoenix. The company built 10 roller coasters in the late 1980s and early 1990s, four of which still operate. He is survived by his wife, daughter, and son. His death notice is linked.
