Husband and wife dead in murder-suicide near Ryan Giernacky home dumpster in McCandless identified
Molly Beardsley Death – Cause of Death : 25-year-old Molly Beardsley, of Allison Park, and her 23-year-old husband are dead after being hospitalized following a suspected murder-suicide incident Wednesday morning in McCandless.
Officials with the McCandless Police Department responded to a shots fired report in the 700 blocks of Duncan Avenue to a parking lot at about 8:15 a.m. Arriving officers located two victims suffering from gunshots wound at the scene. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman later identified as Beardsley was transported to a hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. She succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
Preliminary investigations determined the victims were married and are not residents of the apartment complex and that the shooting occurred at the location where the victims were found. There are no other individuals involved and there is no danger to the community. The identity of the male victim is pending forensic investigation.
Officials say Ryan Giernacky lives at the apartment complex where the victims were located. Ryan said he found the man and woman behind the dumpster. “I was in shock honestly, obviously a HomeGoods is right here, I live right on the corner there, so just knowing something happened 30 feet from your door, it’s insane.”
Cindy Kurneck, the mother of the female victim identified her daughter as a warrior who was a singer and a songwriter. “She cared deeply for people and had a smile for everyone,” Kurneck said. “She was loved and will never be forgotten.”
