UPDATE- Smiths Falls Police Service responded to reports of a deceased male on Rideau Avenue North, the apparent victim of a single motor vehicle collision on Sunday, August 30, 2020 between the hours of 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. The victim has been identified as Daniel Kilpatrick aged 58 years from Ottawa, ON.Police are reviewing video surveillance from the area and are continuing to investigate the circumstances around the death of Mr. Kilpatrick and are asking anyone who was walking and driving on Rideau Avenue North between those hours to contact them. Also, they are requesting to speak to anyone who knew Mr. Kilpatrick or may have had recent contact with him in the days prior to his death. Anyone with information surrounding this incident are being asked to contact Smiths Falls Police or Crimestoppers.
