Tributes To Darren Eubank

Below are some of the statements shared across social media users’ timelines on the death of Eubank.

‘As I sit here in shock, disbelief, heart broken, and devastated, I can’t help but to look over at my beautiful sister and admire her strength. I am fighting so many tears watching her navigate through this life changing tragedy after the loss of her best friend and soulmate who was beyond a gift to this entire planet and my life. Bre, I love you beyond words and I’m going to walk this out with you even when the phone calls stop. Rest in heaven Darren Eubank I miss your taunting jokes, your kindness, your voice, your gentle spirit already.”

“I scrolled through my photos…. to remember.
Darren Eubank has been part of The Verigans for years. I met him at The Oaks-but he wasn’t just a church friend that we saw on Sunday mornings only. I loved him like a son- when I told my 87 year old momma this morning- she said “ what!?I’m not going to see my son, playing his guitar on Sundays anymore?” Obviously- he was like family to us. He cared about us, We cared about him. I’m quiet today. I don’t know what to say. I do know, Darren was an incredible, amazing, friendly, worshipful, loving, gifted, talented, caring, true, image of Jesus. (My brain is tired/ so that’s all the Darren adjectives I can say today- their will be more tomorrow ) Brecia Eubank – if you read this. I love you. Love you. You! Are amazing! You are strong. You are so gifted. I love you – I’m here- and am ready when you call”

“It’s so weird knowing I can talk to you from a distance. As I’m writing this, I know you’re right here talking with me. Bro you are one of the greatest friends I’ll ever have. I’ll never forget that day at Whataburger when we met, and what that relationship ended up becoming. You are the hands and feet of Jesus Christ himself and I didn’t know then how much of an Angel on Earth you were . You are heaven sent to everyone you met, and that’s a lot of people. You are the epitome of living life correct, given your circumstances to live it the way you chose to, is just pure Heaven on Earth. You lived life doing only what you loved, you poured into others, you always knew who you were, and who you were designed to be. You left it all on the table, and the accolades proved you died empty. You never left an ounce of Darren Eubank to waste. I have so much respect for you and you’re going to inspire generations to come. I’m so happy we played a part in each other’s lives. Dawg……I’m going to miss you. Rest In Peace, you EARNED IT. I love you.”

“This world has lost one of the greatest young men I ever had the pleasure of watching grow up. From Project Success to calling his name on the PA in high school baseball, to watching him sing, you have made such an amazing impact on my life and thousands of others Darren Eubank, rest with the lord and always know you are forever in our hearts. Until we meet again my friend. Praying for his dear wife and family. Love you D!”
Darren Eubank I’ll never forget walking in to the new local coffee shop that just had opened at the time in Red Oak called Muddy’s Cafe. You were sitting there with couple of friends playing the guitar and I remember hearing your voice for the first time. You were playing the “The A Team” by Ed Sheeran. It’s crazy I remember it so vividly but from the moment I met you I knew I’d see your name in shining lights one day. I walked over to introduce myself because I had just began my musical career and was so excited to meet another fellow musician from the same hometown. I remember walking into the shop a couple of days later but this time with my guitar and we did a song swap jam and it was awesome. After, we went to go eat Mexican food. You may not remember this but, we had a conversation about doing a reality TV show like “The voice” or “American idol.” We sat there and talked about the pros and cons but ultimately your first priority was the church and you never wanted to take time away from that. Little did we know 6 years later we’d be re-United in California at the same hotel for American Idol in 2019. You were so involved with the community and loved in a ways that was incomparable. Ellis county will never be the same without you. You’re with the big League choir now, and I know you’re shining like the star you are. Please Pray for his sweet wife Brecia Eubank RIP hometown buddy. You will forever be missed”
“My heart has been heavy all day with this huge loss for my home community. Darren Eubank never ceased to make people smile or laugh or feel loved. I so admire the way he lived his life to the fullest, making every moment count. I remember the entire day he spent helping me write/record a song in his bedroom “studio” just because I asked. He was a selfless individual. This world was a better place with Darren in it and I am honored to have known him and graduated with him.
I know you’re with the Creator now and have made a great addition to the choir! I will never forget your life. Rest In Peace, friend.”
“We lost a beautiful friend last night. Please pray for Darren Eubank’s wife, Brecia Eubank and their families as they grieve his death.
Phillip Elledge and I will be forever thankful for the love “Big D” poured into our kids. He was Riley’s small group leader for several years and that meant D was in our home every Sunday night showing love and leading kids towards Jesus. This picture was taken at The Oaks Candy Fest 10/20. I hadn’t seen D for a while and was so happy to have caught up with him for even a moment between sets!
We love you, Darren and we will see you again.”
