Class of 1980 friends, we have lost another classmate. David Klucas passed away on July 5, 2020. It’s reported he was found in Eagle lake and efforts to resuscitate him were not successful. I will always remember him as a kind man. 😢

A Willmar man is dead after a water-related incident in Kandiyohi County. The sheriff’s office says on Sunday afternoon they were notified of a man in the water at the boat landing on Eagle Lake, north of Willmar. When deputies arrived, people at the boat landing were performing life-saving measures on 58-year-old David Klucas, however, he died at the scene. Several agencies responded to the scene including Willmar Fire, Kandiyohi County First Responders, Carris Health Ambulance, Spicer First Responders, Life Link Ambulance, The State Patrol and the DNR. The sheriff’s office is currently investigating the incident that claimed the life of David Klucas.
We are still working on getting more details about the death, as family statement on the death is yet to be released.
