An investigation is ongoing after a man was shot in the driveway of a home on Ormond Boulevard Tuesday evening, reports say.
Responding officers airlifted the unidentified victim to an area hospital in undisclosed condition, according to St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office. Witnesses identified the injured victim as a resident in the first block of Villere Drive, where the shooting was reported.
A possible suspect was taken into taken in for questioning. The shooting stemmed from a traffic incident on the Ormond Boulevard and escalated to the Villere Drive home, near Cypress Lake County Club.
A crime scene has been created at about 5:30 p.m. and Villere Drive has been closed off to traffic as detectives investigates the scene. A four-door gray sedan, its passenger door open and headlights on, was parked closely behind a black pick-up truck in the driveway that neighbors said belonged to the shooting victim.
