The development of a nation is not a task for the feeble minded,it is a sacred task entrusted to the most matured at heart and mind. It is a cherished ideal aspired to by the mind ennobled by experience in the school of life.
Many souls are onlookers or even unfortunate enough to be ranked among complainers, and people with insatiable material greed gained through robbing peter.
But as Nigeria today stands on a crucial epoch,i do not know if we will allow ignorant men plunge us into the abyss some of us have unconsciously being creating through our thought and actions. Or if great minds will raise to the noble call, the call to nation building and societal advancement.
Can we count on you to dance to the bandwagon of a new song played by enlightened minds in the vineyard of true leadership.
We can create a new dance, not of the shaking body type, a dance we dance through an exemplary life in view of building a great heritage for posterity.
If we must develop then we can utilize the empowerment created through perpetual self development. This does not call for much,it calls for simple principles of progress.
” A winning philosophy is the result of a few basic disciplines practiced daily”
Jim Rohn
The principles of self development is unique to each of us,it is our personal responsibility to find within that which is needed for our individual growth,a growth that spills in society as moral values.
For some this principle can be as simple as waking up earlier so as to plan the day properly.
It can be a simple tool such as creating a “to do” list and a “milestone” list.
It can also be as simple as reading a book each week.
It can be as simple as finding out what unique character or quality we need to move to the next level.
For some,it can be creating a goal and exerting effort persistently till the goal is achieved.

The key to national development starts with personal effort,it is our individual sucex that spills into our national life and create the better society we all need.
Sometimes we may be tempted to look towards particular institutions to salvage us from our present state but this can run counter productive as it makes us more focused on what we lack than on what we can do. When we focus on what we can do,we become more motivated to do better,to take bold steps,to search for greater meaning unlike if we concentrate on what we lack,it will drain us of any little motivation we have and place us in a psychological cage where we expect a person or institution to come help us. A help that never comes,if history is right.
Each leader can contribute his own quota to the great building called Nigeria if we must achieve a greater and better society as envisaged by all noble minds.
As humans we are all born winners,it is our birthright,it is our natural endowment and nothing can stand in our way when we activate our determination through noble dreams vision and aspiration. Heaven is on our side, he who stands with the Divine is a sure winner cos “one with God is majority” even if the greater percentage of people do not believe in Nigeria, the few who do are the majority hence we can always win. Win the rough sea of life in which we are all participants. Lets always remember one thing, great sailors are not made in calm waters,if we must rank among the great nations of the planet, then we have to take the responsibility before us. The responsibility is a sacred one if we wish to see it so.
I believe in Nigeria,
i believe in humanity,
I believe we can do better if we but just try.
? What do you think
