The owners of bookstores and men's clothing stores attributed the reasons for the high demand for the "headband of the maqasab" on the day of its founding to the price hike by the distributors of the shops.

This is after the prices of the braided headband witnessed a significant increase of more than 5 times, as it was before the rise by 15 riyals, and it became 80 riyals, taking advantage of the demand for this type of headband on this day.

And a number of citizens demanded that the shops that deliberately raised prices and exploited the demand for the requirements of the founding day be held accountable, stressing that the exploitation of citizens by distributors does not stop, despite the values that this day seeks to promote.

The citizens, Saad Al-Omari and Ali Al-Ghamdi, were surprised by the high prices, pointing out that there are supposed to be major discounts, as happens on the Saudi National Day and other occasions, or to maintain the same prices away from the exploitation of citizens.

For its part, Okaz contacted the Ministry of Commerce, which promised a response, but it did not respond until the publication of this report.
