He attended the University of Denver where graduated in the year 1964 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was selected as President of the Florida Hotel & Motel Association and was honored with the Hotelier of the Year award in 1992.
Austin is survived by his wife, Pebbie Mott, his beautiful daughters, Coby Eldridge (Robert) and Katie McHugh (Patrick), his grandchildren, Coulter Eldridge, Pate Eldridge, Aidan Eldridge, Mackenzie McHugh, Caymen McHugh, and Amelia Eldridge; brothers, John Mott (Ellie), Mel Mott (Jeanne) and Roger Mott (Debbie) and the Mott extended family.
