This is brutally devastating news. Ford Stuen was a guy who loved his work and loved to talk about it. He was looking forward to life with his new wife. He was just a joy to be around. I can’t believe it.
Ford Stuen was whip smart, kind, generous and GREAT at his job. I called him the Globetrotter. He would and did go anywhere to find talent. I will dearly miss our trips to Starbucks to start a day on the road. My heart is broken for his family and his extended Billiken family.
We’re devastated by the news of SLU assistant men’s basketball coach Ford Stuen, who passed away today at age 29 after struggling in the hospital for the past couple months. He is survived by his wife Courtney and a young daughter.
Tragic news out of St Louis. Ford Stuen stood out as a guy who had head coach abilities. One of the few A10 assistants I knew of by name because he just exuded that swagger where you knew he was going places. Thoughts w his family, colleagues and all Biliken fans. RIP.
My heart is broken. Ford Stuen was a guy who also met you with a smile and lit up every room he was in. The world lost a great man with great potential. Gone way to soon. Please keep his wife, daughter, and unborn son in your prayers. RIP Coach
