Carrie Meek Death – Cause Of Death: Former Maimi Congresswoman Carrie Meek has passed away on Sunday 28th November 2021in Miami, Florida, the U.S. at the age of 95 at her home in Miami. Her death was announced by her family on social media, Carrie Meek’s cause of death was not specified by her family. Carrie Meek’s obituary will be released by her family.
Carrie Mae Pittman was born on April 29 in the year 1926 in Tallahassee, Florida, the U.S. to Willie and Carrie Pittman, she was the last child in the midst of 12 children. Her mother was a sharecropper, a legal arrangement with regard to agricultural land in which a landowner allows a tenant to use the land in return for a share of the crops produced on that land.
She attended Lincoln High School, a high school located in Tallahassee, Florida, United States, and continued her college in north Florida. In 1946 she graduated from Florida A&M University, a public historically black land-grant university in Tallahassee, Florida that was founded in 1887. In the year 148 she gained her master of science degree from the University of Michigan, a public research university in Ann Arbor, Michigan founded in the year 1817.
She began her job at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida as her teaching, she moved back to Miami in 1961, where she worked as special assistant to the vice president of Miami-Dade Community College. She began her political journey in the year 1979 when Florida’s first woman African American legislator, died in a vehicle crash, she decided to succeed her by running an election. She won and was elected to the Florida House as a Democrat. Meek became a state senator in 1982 in the Florida Senate, she was a bonafide member of the U.S. House of Representatives where she served under Florida’s 17th district from January 3, 1993, through to January 3, 2003.

May her compassion, integrity, and rich legacy of doing good be a pillar of strength for the Meek family as they mourn their matriarch, and may her memory be a blessing.”
