Jim Fouras Death – Cause Of Death: Former honorable speaker of the Jim Fouras Legislative Assembly of Queensland has passed away suddenly and unexpectedly following a heart attack on Friday 12th November 2021 at the age of 83 in Brisbane, QLD. Jim Fouras Obituary will be released by his family in due time.

Jim was born in Manesi, Kalavryta, Greece on March, 8th in the year 1938. He attended his high school at The Southport School and was accorded the school’s chemistry award. In 1963 he graduated from the University of Queensland where he obtained a Bachelor of Science and in 972 he gained a Bachelor of Economics from the same university.

He became an active member of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland as the Labor member for South Brisbane, a positon he held on to for 9years from 1977 – 1986 where he was succeeded by Anne Warner. Jim won the seat of Ashgrove in the year 1989 till his retirement in the year 2006 where he was succeeded by Kate Jones. Jim was also the honourable Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Jim was also the honourable Speaker of the Legislative Assembly from 1990 to 1996 for 6years from 1990 to 1996.

Queensland Labor has taken to social to pay their last respect to Jim Fouras which says: “We have been deeply saddened by the passing of Jim Fouras AM. Jim was a stalwart of the Labor Party, a strong campaigner, and a local community champion. As the Speaker of the House and a local Member of Parliament, Jim left an indelible mark on our state.”
