Emmit King Death Cause Of Death: Alabama track star and Olympian Emmit King from Bessemer who was known for winning the bronze medal at the 1983 World Championships in the men’s 100 meters was killed in a deadly shootout with another man on Sunday 28th November 2021 at the age of 62 in Bessemer.
Emmit King was born on March 24th in the year 1959 in Bessemer, a southwestern suburb of Birmingham in Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. He attended Hueytown High School where he graduated in the year 1978, he also endorsed a track scholarship to run for Jefferson State Community College. He continued at the University of Alabama where he became the 1983 NCAA 100 meters National Champion.
According to information from the police, Emmit King and the second victim, Willie Albert was known to each other, they were having an altercation all of a sudden they both pulled out their guns and started shooting at each other. Emmit King was declared dead at the scene, the second man Willie Albert was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
