Yesterday (Sunday), about thirty young men stormed a shopping center on the Champs-Elysees Avenue in Paris, wreaking havoc and looting some of its contents before the security forces confronted them with tear gas, while hundreds of thousands of French people were celebrating on the luxurious avenue their country's victory in the World Cup in football. As reported by an AFP journalist.

The journalist explained that the young men, some of whom were masked, stormed the "Dragstore Publicis" commercial center from its main entrance located on "Marceau" avenue, and wreaked havoc on it. Then they left the mall laughing and taking pictures of themselves with their mobile phones.

For its part, the security forces confronted the thieves who threw projectiles at them, and responded with tear gas, according to the same source.

The confrontation between the security forces and the rioters continued for about 15 to 20 minutes, after which they dispersed under a hail of tear gas canisters, while the security forces guarded the entrance to the mall.

However, the situation was not completely stable after that, as it was only a matter of minutes until a group of about 20 young men entered the cafe of the commercial center overlooking the Champs-Elysees Avenue, to be confronted by the security forces again with tear gas.

About 4,000 police and gendarmes were deployed in Paris to protect the security of those celebrating the victory of the French national football team in the World Cup.
