Hi guys, I do not know what is that very thing you usually look out for while buying a phone. A lot of people go for the name, some for the price, while the rest go for the camera quality. To me, it might just be about the whole mentioned reasons, but then, phone’s camera’s quality is unarguably the main factor I consider before buying any phone.

Today, we will be looking at the two of the world’s most desired and trending phones in 2019/2020; the iPhone 11 Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy S10+. Apple and Samsung are undoubtedly the two most powerful phone makers in the world at the moment so don’t be surprised why phone talks are mostly around them.
The iPhone 11 Pro Max
The key feature of the 11 Pro range is the new rear-facing triple camera setup, which combines the following sensors:
- 12-megapixel ƒ/1.8 wide-angle sensor (the one at the top)
- 12-megapixel ƒ/2.4 ultra-wide sensor with a 120-degree field of view (the next one down)
- 12-megapixel ƒ/2.0 telephoto sensor (the one at the bottom)
Arguably the most eye-catching new camera feature is something called Deep Fusion. It’s a new image processing system that, Apple says, uses machine learning to “[optimise] for texture, details and noise in every part of the photo”. With one touch of the shutter button, the 11 Pro will shoot multiple images, then pick out the best bits and combine them to form the best possible snap. Deep Fusion will arrive through an update later this autumn.
The UI has also been changed, to show you what each of the three different sensors can capture at any one time.

There’s Night Mode too, which will turn on automatically when you fire up the camera in a low-light setting; Audio Zoom, which detects where sound is coming from while you film; and Portrait Mode, which has been upgraded. The 11 Pro range lets you choose between Wide and Telephoto framing, which should allow you to take better portrait-style shots of multiple people.
Portrait Mode is available through the 12-megapixel ƒ/2.2 front-facing camera too, and it’s joined by a new feature called slofies (aka slow-motion selfie videos).

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus
The primary camera in the S10+ uses a 12MP, 1/2.55-inch sensor with Dual Pixel Phase Detection AF for faster, more accurate auto-focusing. Its 26mm-equivalent lens has a large f/1.5 max aperture and optical image stabilization, giving the camera decent low light potential.
The second camera in the rear-facing trio is another 12MP sensor, but its lens is equivalent to 52mm, effectively giving 2x telephoto zoom compared to the primary camera. It also features OIS, but not Dual Pixel AF.
The third rear-facing camera is a 16MP ultra-wide module that provides a 12mm-equivalent focal length for a huge field of view that’s ideal for capturing large group shots or architecture at close range.
The S10+ also adds a front-facing 8MP depth sensor camera to assist the primary 10MP, f/1.9 selfie camera. This is to help produce more convincing shallow depth of field effects and enhanced fake background bokeh blur.
