The past 72 hours can be considered the days of the "Determination Brings Us Together" summits with distinction and regional, Islamic and global competence, especially after the historic speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz at the Arab-Islamic-American Summit, which concluded yesterday in Riyadh. The king's speech was met with great interest and interaction in the popular, official, elite and media circles, whether in the Arab and Islamic arena or the global arena, especially when he indicated that some affiliates of Islam seek to present a distorted image of the Islamic religion, as the Iranian regime and its affiliated groups and organizations such as "Hezbollah" and the Houthis do. as well as ISIS and Al Qaeda.
King Salman’s speech, in which he explained that these abhorrent acts are attempts to exploit Islam as a cover for political purposes that fuel hatred, extremism, terrorism, and religious and sectarian conflicts, aroused wide interest among the Arab and Islamic summit, as it came as an anatomy of the terrorist situation, and how terrorist organizations seek to cloak themselves in Islam, which is innocent of it. When King Salman spoke about Iran, he was clear, transparent, and firm. He differentiated between the regime and the Iranian people, who should not be blamed for their terrorist regime. He emphasized that the Iranian regime has been the spearhead of global terrorism since the Khomeini revolution until today. He said: Iran has rejected the good neighborly initiatives presented by our countries. King Salman spoke with burning pain when he said: “The regime in Iran thought that our silence was weakness and our wisdom was regressing, until we had enough of its aggressive practices and interventions.”
Considering that Saudi Arabia puts its relationship with the Islamic peoples as a priority, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques reaffirmed the appreciation and respect enjoyed by the Iranian people, saying: We do not blame a people for the crime of their regime.. Here, King Salman established a firm rule that Saudi Arabia is keen to build bridges of love with The Iranian Muslim people who live hostage to Iranian oppression and tyranny and await freedom and emancipation.
Not only did King Salman talk about the popular side, but he went on at length to talk about Iran's terrorist role over the past decades, saying: We in this country have not known terrorism or extremism for 300 years until Khomeini's revolution reared its head in 1979 AD. He addressed the audience by saying: “Our responsibility before God and then before our peoples and the whole world is to stand united to fight the forces of evil and extremism, whatever it may be.”
And here is Saudi Arabia today standing tall on solid foundations, after it succeeded in bringing together the leaders of the Arab and Islamic world with the American president through the “Determination Unites Us” summits, which formulated a new vision and strategy to confront the forces of darkness and evil in the region.
