James Furlong Death – Dead: A great loss was made known to InsideEko. As friends and families of the deceased are mourning the passing of their loved and cherished James Furlong.
James Furlong head of history at the Holt Community School in Wokingham, was among the three that was stabbed to death during the terror attack in Forbury Gardens. He was 36 years.
Having heard about this great loss, the family of this individual is passing through pains, mourning the unexpected passing of their beloved.
This departure was confirmed through social media posts made by Twitter users who pour out tributes, and condolences to the family of the deceased.
Described by colleagues as a kind & gentle soul, James Furlong, a teacher, was murdered by an Islamist whilst enjoying time with family in a Reading park.

Tragic waste of life yet again. RIP James Furlong. I wonder how many young students he taught history were at the BLM protest in Reading or other BLM protests. Bet they won’t own up to that and being part of the problem. Wake up and welcome to the real world. Look in the mirror.

Victim of stabbing in UK, James Furlong, was a history & politics teacher loved by his students. Living in Libya where senseless loss of life is all around us every day it’s important to be reminded we shouldn’t become immune to tragedy & not let wasted lives become our ‘normal’

James Furlong was one of the most influential and exceptional people in my life. He fostered my love of history, nurtured me, and taught me resilience and kindness. The four years I spent with him were precious, and deeply treasured. I am absolutely devastated.

Devastated to discover that James Furlong, one of the victims of the Reading stabbings, was a teacher at the Holt.
His loss is a devastating blow to his family, colleagues, students, the wider Holt family and our whole community.
