Jerry Sturm, who played centre for CFL’s Calgary Stampeders in 1959-60 before a 12-year career in the AFL and NFL, has died. Sturm made headlines in 1971 when he reported gamblers who offered him $10,000 to botch snaps on field goals and extra points.

I had his world famous Quesorito with Jerry Sturm once at the South. He was a very chill guy. Had a lot of stories. Real sad day.

RIP and condolences to his family
