Our hearts go out to Marshall Kent, whose father Jim passed away yesterday. In this photo, Marshall’s dad is at the bottom right, watching his son compete. It was the 2013 WSOB, I had given Marshall an exemption to compete as the top collegiate player in the nation, and to no one’s surprise he advanced to the Scorpion show. From day one, Marshall was destined to be a star and ambassador for bowling around the world, thanks largely to the support of his dad who was there every step of the way.
We are still working on getting more details about the death, as a family statement on the death is yet to be released.
